# Recording with the Chrome Extension

Record **Google Meet** calls in Chrome. Auto-record is on by default, with no bot joining and no microphone permission prompt.

## 1. Install

Open the [Tamloot extension](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/tamloot/hbihjblbopbjekfjhcenobaiagjkofoc) and choose **Add to Chrome → Add extension**. A welcome tab walks you through setup.

## 2. Pin it

Open Chrome's **puzzle piece** menu and select the **pin** beside Tamloot.

## 3. Sign in

Click the Tamloot toolbar icon, choose **Sign in or create account**, and finish in your browser.

## 4. Record

Join a Meet call. A **Tamloot Recording** pill and toolbar badge show recording is active. Make sure everyone knows the conversation is being recorded.

Leave the call to stop, or choose **Stop Recording** in the popup. Wait for **Recording saved**; your transcript and notes follow in the dashboard.

## Controls and fixes

- **Manual recording:** turn off **Auto-record sessions**, then choose **Start recording** during a call.
- **Discard:** choose **Cancel recording**. No session is created.
- **Stopped mid-call?** Check your microphone and choose **Record again** on the Meet notice.
- **Signed out?** Sign in again from the popup or the warning banner.
