# Recording Phone Calls

Call someone from a contact in the **iPhone app** to record the conversation and keep its notes with their history. **Israeli numbers only** for now.

Recorded calls must be enabled for your account. If **Recorded phone calls** is missing from Settings, [contact support](/en/support).

## Set up your number

1. Open iPhone app **Settings → Recorded phone calls**.
2. Enter your own Israeli mobile number and tap **Verify**.
3. Answer the verification call and enter the six-digit code shown on screen using the phone keypad.

The people you call will see your own number.

## Call and record

1. Open a contact and tap **Call and record**.
2. On first use, enable recorded calls and agree to how the call data is used.
3. Confirm **Record this phone call?** Make sure the other person agrees to being recorded.

Recording starts when they answer. You can type notes during the call and use mute, speaker, or end from the call controls.

After the call, the recording is transcribed and notes appear in a session linked to that contact. Tamloot suggests a matching scheduled session when one exists.

Only outgoing calls placed through Tamloot are recorded. Incoming calls and calls from the regular Phone app aren't recorded.
