# Getting Started

Welcome to Tamloot. This guide takes you from a new account to your first recorded session.

## Creating Your Account

1. Visit [app.tamloot.cc](https://app.tamloot.cc)
2. Click **"Get Started"**
3. Sign up using:
   - **Google Account** — Click "Sign in with Google" for quick setup
   - **Apple Account** — Click "Sign in with Apple"
   - **Email & Password** — Enter your email and create a password

Your account starts with a **14-day card-free trial**. No payment details are required. After the trial, continue with the Professional plan for **₪19/month**.

## Setting Up Your Profile

On first sign-in, a short onboarding asks for your name and the kinds of conversations you have. That's what tailors how the AI writes your notes. You can change it later in Settings.

## Adding Your First Contact

Contacts are the people you work with. Linking sessions to a contact is what makes session history, patterns over time, and meeting prep work.

1. Go to the **Contacts** page in the dashboard
2. Click **"Add Contact"**
3. Enter their name (required) plus optional email, phone, and notes
4. Click **"Save"**

You can also create a contact on the fly while assigning one to a session.

## Setting Up Recording

Choose the one method that matches how you usually meet:

| You usually meet on… | Use |
|---|---|
| **Google Meet** | Chrome extension |
| **Zoom, Teams, Slack huddles** | Desktop app (Mac & Windows) |
| **In person** | iOS app, or record in your browser |
| **Already have a recording** | Upload the audio file |

The **Recording Tools** button at the bottom of the dashboard sidebar has the install links for all of them, and the [how to start](/how-to-start) page walks through each setup.

The extension and desktop app **record automatically by default** — install once and they detect your calls on their own.

## Connecting Google (recommended)

Connecting Google Calendar in **Connectors** makes upcoming sessions appear in Tamloot automatically, sharpens the AI's context about who you're meeting, and lets you export notes to Google Docs.

## What Happens After Recording

Whichever method you use, Tamloot processes the session the same way:

1. **Transcription** — audio is transcribed, usually within a few minutes
2. **AI session notes** — summary, key themes, action items, and professional notes
3. **Sessions** — view everything in the dashboard

Every AI-generated note is editable — click into it and type.
