AI Assistant
The AI Assistant is a full-screen chat interface where you can ask questions, get insights, and manage your practice — all through natural conversation. It has access to your clients, sessions, notes, and can even search the web for clinical resources.
Opening the AI Assistant
There are several ways to open the AI Assistant:
- From the sidebar: Tap the AI Assistant menu item in the navigation sidebar
- From a session: Tap "Ask AI" on any session detail page — the assistant opens with that session's context already loaded
- From a client profile: Tap "Ask AI" on any client profile — the assistant opens knowing you're asking about that specific client
Chat Interface
The AI Assistant is designed as a focused, full-screen chat experience:
- Chat header at the top with the assistant title
- Scrollable message history in the middle — scroll up to review previous messages
- Input area pinned to the bottom — adjusts automatically when the mobile keyboard opens
What You Can Ask
The assistant knows your clients, sessions, and notes — so you can have a natural conversation about your practice. Here are some ideas to get you started.
Track Client Progress
- "What progress has Sarah made over the last 3 sessions?"
- "Compare the themes from Yael's first session to her most recent one"
- "Summarize all the key themes from my sessions with David this month"
- "Has Noa's mood improved since we started the new approach?"
Prepare for Sessions
- "What homework did I assign to Rachel last time?"
- "Remind me what coping strategies we discussed with Noa"
- "What did I note about Daniel's family situation?"
- "Give me a quick recap of my last 3 sessions with Michael"
Find Patterns Across Clients
- "Which clients mentioned sleep issues recently?"
- "Which clients haven't had a session in over 2 weeks?"
- "How many sessions did I have last week?"
- "Which clients have upcoming sessions this week?"
Get Clinical Resources
- "What are evidence-based techniques for treating social anxiety in teens?"
- "Find recent research on EMDR effectiveness for PTSD"
- "Suggest grounding exercises for a client dealing with panic attacks"
- "What does the research say about using art therapy for grief?"
Write and Update Notes
- "Help me write a session note for today's session with Michael"
- "Draft a treatment plan outline for a new client with generalized anxiety"
- "Add a note to my last session with Sarah about her progress with journaling"
- "Update Daniel's background notes with the new medication he mentioned"
About Tamloot
- "How do I invite a bot to my Zoom meeting?"
- "How do I upload a recording?"
- "How do I change my language settings?"
@Mentions
Type @ in the input field to mention a specific client. A dropdown menu appears with your client list — select the client you want to ask about. The assistant will use that client's data (sessions, notes, background) to give you a relevant, context-aware answer.
For example, type @Sarah and then ask "What were the key themes in our recent sessions?" — the assistant knows you mean Sarah specifically.
Context-Aware Conversations
When you navigate to the AI Assistant from a specific session or client page (using the "Ask AI" button), the assistant automatically understands the context. You'll see a context badge in the input area showing which session or client you're asking about.
You can clear the context at any time by tapping the X on the context badge to return to general conversation mode.
Actions the Assistant Can Take
The AI Assistant isn't just for questions — it can also take actions on your behalf:
| Action | Description |
|---|---|
| Add session notes | Ask the assistant to add a note to any session |
| Update client notes | Ask the assistant to update background notes for a client |
| Search the web | The assistant can search for therapy resources, research, and techniques |
| Meeting prep insights | Get a quick summary of what to prepare before your next session with a client |
Tips for Best Results
- Be specific: "What themes came up with Sarah in January?" works better than "Tell me about Sarah"
- Use @mentions: Mention clients by name with @ for the most accurate answers
- Use context navigation: Open the assistant from a session page to automatically scope your questions
- Ask follow-ups: The assistant remembers your conversation, so you can ask follow-up questions naturally
- Request actions: Don't just ask questions — ask the assistant to add notes or update client information
